  • Best Metal Albums Ever

It should be no surprise to anyone who personally knows me that I’m a huge metal fan. For those, who didn’t know that – surprise! I’ve thought a lot over the years about which albums are the best. Every time I listen to something new, I try to gain a new perspective on music and how it’s evolved over the years. Anytime I find myself listening to an album over a period of months, it earns the respect of becoming a great album. When months turns to years, it becomes one of the best albums. Obviously, this entire post is purely opinion, so I won’t provide any rankings. Oh, and it should also be obvious that this post will contain vulgar language.

Before you read any further, keep in mind that there are no new recordings to share at this time. I’ve been rediscovering my love for writing music and been contemplating what I would do next. Discovering new bands and new passions for sounds have reinvigorated my inspiration and creativity.

  • Understand Data Correctly

It’s impossible to escape anywhere either mentally or physically without hearing about the Coronavirus (COVID-19). If you came to read this to escape it then unfortunately I’ve misguided you. It all started when I came across a post on Twitter from someone that believes the virus is a manufactured hoax and their proof of data was a bar graph that compared these two data points: US Population 330,000,000 and COVID-19 cases at 35,000. My goal here isn’t to convince the reader one way or the other whether the virus is deadly or not, but rather to talk about the importance of data using a case study on the subject. I’ve been in business analytical roles for over a decade, so this article will discuss data and my experience with it.

  • The Gone World Explained

The Gone World is a book written by Tom Sweterlitsch that has many twists and turns and many readers want confirmation on the ending. I want to establish the summary on parts of the book for people to confirm what their theories are, or explain the book to those who got lost. It should be obvious without stating it: this is riddled with spoilers.

This is a synopsis of the book: Shannon Moss is part of a clandestine division within the Naval Criminal Investigative Service. In western Pennsylvania, 1997, she is assigned to solve the murder of a Navy SEAL’s family—and to locate his vanished teenage daughter. Though she can’t share the information with conventional law enforcement, Moss discovers that the missing SEAL was an astronaut aboard the spaceship U.S.S. Libra—a ship assumed lost to the currents of Deep Time. Moss knows first-hand the mental trauma of time-travel and believes the SEAL’s experience with the future has triggered this violence.
