    It should be no surprise I play around with AI in various scenarios. Look at my blog, my github, my portfolio, and my credentials. I had an idea a while ago: what if I threw a bunch of AI agents into a role-playing game of a murder mystery and I randomly chose one of those agents as the murderer? Would they solve the murder?

  • Interstellar ending explained (with science!)

    I recently had the privilege of watching the IMAX re-release of Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar ten years after the movie was originally released. Some people didn’t like the ending of the movie and I think they didn’t understand it. I’ll try to explain it in detail. Regardless if you liked the film or not, it’s a marvel in film-making as Christopher Nolan typically avoids CGI and he’s well-renowned for his famous movie sets. Some things caught my attention when re-watching this film, especially at the end and I want to explain what I learned with an extra side of science (no charge). Spoiler alert!

    For decades I focused on buying things cheap. Clothes, phones, cars, shoes, etc. were always purchased based on the cost. But, what about the value of those purchases? Is it really worth it long term to buy everything cheap, or is it better to buy something that lasts a long time?

  • The Dichotomy of Consumerism vs Business Responsibilities in Climate Change

    It wasn’t until Tesla hit a direct sales market that many manufacturers realized there was a consumer market for electric vehicles. Often, dealerships misled manufacturers that there was no need, and now they’ve been found to stand in the way of consumers purchasing them where companies like Ford are suing dealerships (source). While electric vehicles are great from a consumer perspective for fighting greenhouse emissions, it often feels like the onus of climate change is on the consumers. What about the companies? Who is responsible for reducing global emissions?

  • LLM Use Case: Recipes

    Imagine for a minute you need a recipe for a meal, say baby back ribs. You search the internet for various recipes and find one that claims it’s the best ribs ever. As you dig into the recipe you find one ingredient you don’t have. Now what? If you’re experienced with cooking, you can find an alternative. If you’re ignorant like me, you find another recipe. Then, you find another ingredient you’re missing.
